Switch 2 thread

Played a bit during lunch.
  • Audio from the device is great.
  • Screen is actually not bad for an LCD, a lot better than standard Switch 1 LCD
  • Bigger Joicons are so much more comfortable to use
  • Mario Cart World looks stellar in hand held mode
  • Tears of the Kingdom is a game changer at 60fps
  • Tried out Wind Waker for about 5 minutes and it looks great, wish it was 60fps tough
  • Super Mario Wonder doesn't seem to have gotten a resolution bump
Will test it out on the TV later today. Also need to see if my 8bit do dongle works on it.
 
This thing of Takealot not delivering today and instead having it come tomorrow is poor. I feel like with pre-orders there's something of an obligation on the retailer to make sure it arrives on the day (when they quote that at order time), and especially since they run their own Mr D delivery network they have more options available to do so.

Must say it is kinda stuffed to have the most vulnerable part of the device facing the outside protected by thin see through plastic and a layer of cardboard, while the dock is wrapped in thick foam and parked in the back.

That is more Core's doing than Takealot.

R100 says Core did not ship them till the absolute last minute.
 
Did anyone else that ordered with Takealot not have it even shipped yet?

I get that, but they still were able to get it to the local delivery hub today. I suspect with TakealotMORE it might even have made it out in an afternoon delivery.

Anyone with Amazon preorders get delayed till tomorrow?
 
My case has been changed to next week now. Is this a Takealot messup or Core? What's the point of preordering if they try get stock only when they're supposed to be delivering?

Anyone know if retail stores (aka relics) like BT/Makro/Game have walk-in stock?

Tempted to take a day off and grab one first-thing tomorrow morning, online options like Amazon would probably only deliver late tomorrow afternoon.
