Switch 2 thread

Playing The Adventures of Elliot demo and am enjoying it. Already stuck in a cave and not sure what to do after getting a second key.

Is Octopath Traveller similar to this?

I should check those out

If you referring to HD-2D aesthetic yes, others that do it as well (And recommended)
  • Octopath Traveler I & II,
  • Triangle Strategy,
  • Live A Live,
  • Dragon Quest 1-3
  • Star Ocean: The Second Story R
But they all do turn based combat.

If you want more Action based JRPG with a similar ascetic
Maybe look at YS Origin & YS: The Oath in Felghana.

No, not the actual gameplay from what I have seen.

This game looks more fun than Octopath traveller IMO.

Encouters with enemies are random fade away encounters.

I am putting this game on my list.

Gives off Zelda type gameplay and I am all for it.

@Goosfrabba In expectation of getting an ignored message of "you are going on and on about it", try Fantasy Life i.

Instant life switches between jobs, mining, cooking, blacksmithing...

And the best part, it does not tell you what to do.

Either follow the story or just explore.

Lol, I tend to not shut up on games I enjoy as well. I've seen some very positive reviews about the game so will definitely add it to my list of games

I'm definitely getting Zelda vibes from Adventures of Elliot. Have really enjoyed the demo.

I like the aesthetic of Octopath Traveller but the turn based combat is always hit and miss for me. For example I enjoyed Mario+Rabids but for the life of me couldn't get into Sparks of Hope. No idea why though
