It will be base xbox one level at best, sorry. Only things legitimately running on it were an enhanced botw and ff7 remake, the matrix demi source isn't reliable

What’s wrong with VGC? They’ve been pretty accurate in the past

You say this with some confidence. ..? Whatever. Go in with low expectations. Best attitude to have when it comes to Nintendo.

- DLSS 3.5???? (Wow!)
- With DLSS raw power no longer a factor. TFLOPs meaningless.
- BOTW demo at 4K60FPS ?!?
- Loading times eliminated in BoTW?
- Matrix Awakens Full RTX on Switch 2 Beyond PS5/Series X? (I stopped listening here...)

Nate is good people. Very reliable. Same with Modern Vintage Gamer. Having said that - always be cautious with these things.

Came here to post this. Crazy stuff. I can't imagine how it's possible.

Things are heating up! Nintendo will never demo stuff that is not close to final hardware. And I don't think dragging in epic with ue5 based on false and unrealistic expectations will be wise.
- Game sizes could be drastically reduced with DLSS. All those textures does not have to be stored at native resolution.
- Will the dock be more advanced?
- I expect news of the "gimmick" to be... nope. Can't think of anything. The talk about the camera seems a bit tame, given the history of Nintendo.
- 4K60. Who cares? This just means that it looks like 1080p and 60FPS should be a doozy with this HW.
- Most excited for the loading time and joycon improvements.
- I hope BoTW demo hints at Backwards compatibility.

I've decided to launder the moolah that would've went for Mario Wonder for this device. I must get this thing at launch.

I'm aboard this hype train. I don't care if the final destination is Upington!

Let's gooooooooooo!

I'm anticipating it to release late next year and plan to get it at launch, so have to start saving. Without a doubt Metroid Prime 4 will be the main launch title

Not gonna lie, i'm pretty hyped. I've been waiting for a looong time and it looks like it's gonna be worth the wait. If it can output even somewhat close to current-gen console graphics, it means 3rd parties can port over anything they want. And then why would anyone buy another console if they can have all the 3rd party games, plus Nintendo games, plus handheld capabilities? MS and Sony should be feeling pretty nervous.

My only fear is the price tag.
Current Oled (with 2015 CPU) Price is waaay more than 2023 Black Xbox Series S and close to 2020 PS5 DE price.

Can not phantom what they're going to charge for something that is "current"

Yea tons of unknowns here of course. Battery life is another big one. I'd love to know the screen resolution and internal storage as well. I guess it's using some kind of nand to cut down on loading times since apparently that's the point of the BOTW demo. Back compat is another huge question.

We buy hardware bcos of the software. Each company will have their exclusives. Those drive hardware sales.

Nintendo is actually in a very dangerous situation. They can lose it all. The Nintendo gamer is of a discerning nature. A thing of beauty and very sexy. And does not shy away from punishing the company. There is no fallback. No backup plan. If the Switch successor fails, they have it all to lose. All their eggs are in one basket. Their software pipeline is only focused on one platform (I'm discounting their mobile ventures, for sake of argument). They don't have the benefit of the competition with deep and bottomless pockets.

All it takes is a couple of missteps... They've been here before with the Wii -> WiiU. The competition is waiting in the shadows. Ready to pounce.

And here I thought Nintendo was a Patent company armed with lawyers that happen to sell games/consoles on the side. ;)

More information leaked about the SoC.

This readme points to T239 being part of AMPERE_B. That's the 2nd gen of 3xxx, including 3080ti.

Class Name: AMPERE_B
3D Class Header: clc797.h
3D Class Texture Header: clc797tex.h
GPUs: ga102, ga103, ga104, ga106, ga107, t234, t239

T239 is fairly well confirmed to be Switch 2.

So, we could expect the Switch2 to have the same feature set (not the same power level of course) as 3080ti. That's quite exciting - it has a newer GPU than PS5 or XBX. It will undoubtedly make full use of DLSS at a deeper level of hardware integration than either of those consoles can use FSR.

Interesting to see if they "support" DLSS 3 on Ampere, when Nvidia says it requires Lovelace.

I'm wondering about the display type, not having OLED would be meh

Nintendo ends its Fiscal Year 2023 period with $12 billion revenues, $8.98 billion cash and cash equivalents, and $17 billion in total net assets.

Remember, Nintendo no longer has the luxury of their portable gaming division that used to carry the company during the N64, GC and WiiU years. They only have 1 software pipeline. One gaming division. They have it all to lose with the Switch 2. Hopefully they won't (takes some puffs from the hopium-pipe)
