As I begin writing this piece, I'm sitting at my desk at 11:30pm CT (well past my bedtime on a work night) trying, along with seemingly the entire rest of the world and the populations of several other planets, to pre-order a Nintendo Switch 2. It's not going well.

What you guys reckon is fair value for a used Switch, non OLED? SInce the new one is dropping I might get a second hand older model for my kid.

After some initial uncertainty – and some price corrections – the Nintendo Switch 2 goes on pre-order in the US today. The new console can be pre-ordered from major US retailers like Best Buy, Target and Walmart (Amazon coming soon).

The official release date is the same as when the console was originally announced, June 5. The company has already showcased several games for it – a mix of new titles and re-releases that have been enhanced for the new hardware.

One game is special – Mario Kart World is part of a launch bundle that costs only $50 more than the console alone, while the game on its own costs $80. That’s on the high end of games that have been announced so far – the range is from $50 to $80.

I would say anything bellow R5K depending what the seller add to the deal.

For ref Nintendo I mean Core currently hase the OG Switch on sale for R7K

    • Virtual Game Card
      • Purchased Nintendo Switch digital software, DLC, and some free software, are now virtual game cards and displayed in a list in this menu.
      • You can virtually load and eject virtual game cards between up to two Nintendo Switch systems.
      • Virtual game cards can be lent to others in the same Nintendo Account family group. For more information, see Virtual Game Card Guide.
    • GameShare
      • Compatible software can be shared from a Nintendo Switch 2 system to other nearby system(s) to play together.
        • You can only play together via local wireless, and the Nintendo Switch 2 system must initiate GameShare.
        • This feature cannot be used between two Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch – OLED Model and/or Nintendo Switch Lite systems.
