Switch 2 thread

None of the Nintendo only titles are enough to make me buy it and I don't get why it does for others.

I have had a PC my entire life since but also had consoles, PS1, PS3, Xbox 360 and PS4 and Quest 2(Technically also a console)
Bought them because they had titles (many) I wanted to play. God of War, Halo, Killzone, Metal Gear titles for example.
Titles that were only available on their system. Bought a PS3 after seeing MGS4 trailer.
Now everything I see and desire to play is release on console and PC. So, I just play it on PC.

Can't say the same for Nintendo titles. I watch the trailers for them and none of them make me want to play them.
It's great that people enjoy it. Not hating on people for enjoying it.
Just saying, I just don't get it.

While we on GameCube games can I add Metroid Prime 2 and sommer no 3 from Wii with proper controller support.

Edit: A quick squiz over my collection I would say there is still loads of games that need a refresh:

This is by far not all of them, I mean I left out Pokemons and loads of 3rd party Exclusives.

Sad to inform: Found my 1st casualty.
Played a bit of Nier: Automata - The End of YoRHa Edition well tried to cause it keeps on crashing for no reason.

Shop also claims not compatible.

The bits that do play between the crashes look stunning and smooth. Here's hoping that we get a patch soon, as it's such a great game.

Pretty impressive video.

D-Pad not up to snuff, it seems. Thought it would be an improvement on the predecessor. Jury still out on stick drift (no hall effects is maybe understandable on JoyCon 2 with its magnets, but not on the Pro Controller). Usual criticism about exorbitant price.

Have to say, all things considered, the Pro 2 controller looks sexy as hell.

Would be nice if Nintendo would offer user configurations for the pro controller 2 (maybe its there, I don't have an S2?) to set sensitivity for the D-Pad. Good to know that that damned [C] button can be remapped.

Would still recommend 8bitdo Ultimate over that price.

Only R900 over at Takealot

Comes with charge dock & Hall effect sticks
Can also program sensitivity and other keys, and includes back buttons.
Analog triggers that is better for racing games.
Works out of box on Switch 1, needs update for Switch 2
Also supports Windows & Android.

They also have have a budget controller available

That dont have back buttons. Great option for visitors.

Not arguing.

Just wondering how many will actually play those old Pokemon games if renewed.

Pokemon Stadium was tedious on the N64 for me. Cheated a bit. Especially after "your attack missed", "your attack missed", "your attack missed", "Enemy attack is critical."
Pokemon XD and Colosseum was good, not great.

For me, I got those game saves backed up. Might play it from scratch in 10 year.

The reason I went original is for the collecting aspect of it.
Vingertjies jeuk mos, moet als besit.

That and the function of faster gameplay when a Pokemon cart is inserted.
Oh and faster Pokemon transfers between carts.

Pro controller 1 also working apparently. My daughters is anyway.

Part of the reason for not including them. I have the ROMs and all but never went back to them.

On the subject of collecting..... the great catch-up has begun.
