Switch 2 thread

The justification for the price increases for games by the LTT member just does not sit right with me, esp after showing just how profitable Nintendo is. Review feels very balanced: I thought it would be more like an advert.

So here’s a gotcha… as a game dev, do you target the switch which guarantees switch 2 compatibility? Or do you target switch 2 exclusive?
There's also Switch 2 Editions: S1 compatible, but with higher IQ and performance. If MK World sales is anything to go by, it looks like S2 exclusive should not be a problem. I just hope devs don't do their "this is a test/assign 2nd tier teams to games/games don't sell on Nintendo and Mario stole my gf" song and dance.

But the recent Summer Game Fest with anaemic Nintendo support is a harsh reminder that even +150 million consoles is not 'good enough' for the 'vision' of developers.

So we had family up from New Zealand over for a braai. After they left I brought out the Switch 2 like that rooftop lady in the first Switch commercial and showed off MKW. Was a lot of fun and the device impressed the rest siblings, nieces etc.

Actually living out one of the bizarre commercial scenarios, equally cool

You came to a switch thread to say you don’t like switch. You’re special mam.

Luckily, we use Wi-Fi at home, and seeing that NS2 now supports AX, there's no need for a cable anyway.

I'd imagine that they would do a swap out for this?

Switch 2 + Mig Flash = BAN!

Earlier this week, the makers of the popular Mig Flash cartridge, which allows users to play Switch games loaded via an SD card without modifying the console itself, issued a firmware update enabling the cards to run original Switch games on the Switch 2. Since then, though, multiple Mig Flash users are reporting that they've seen their Switch 2 consoles banned from Nintendo's online servers, even in cases where the devices were only used to run backups of legitimate games the users purchased themselves.
Still, a server ban disables a wide range of Switch 2 features, including online play, GameChat, cloud saves, access to Switch Online classic titles, and the ability to download game and system updates.
