Switch 2 thread

My word, Baynetta 2 on Switch 2 looks amazing. <-- Do recommend esp if you're into any of the PlatinumGames titles like DMC, Nier:Automata and such. Combat is smooth and super responsive.

Just wondering does anyone know where to purchase larger size microsd express cards like 512gb or 1tb locally?

You dont even get them on Amazon.com so my guess is we gonna have to wait a bit.

Bought a 256 for now, knowing that I will have to upgrade later.

We already finished it on PC but wanna physical for the collection. (Think it's the only PlayStation Studio game on Nintendo.)

*Used the youth day discount.

So now I can play all my games for kids, like Pokemon.

I even tried the UK, no luck.

Even with the tech being out since 2019, I think Nintendo is the 1st OEM that solely supports Express.
Other OEMs that supported Express also supported Extreme, and since Extreme is cheaper, there wasn't a push for bigger Express cards.

Lexar only recently (02/04/25) started making 1TB's so others will probably look at it now that there is official demand.

Just stupid from Nintondo to do this.

Would have been great if they allowed both.

"The tech is not readily available? Lets give our users the option for both. Nah, loading times will be affected."

Its both a pro and a con.

Someone has to take the 1st step and If there is no hard push for it, people won't gravitate to Express.
Personally, I wish others like Raspberry would adopt the tech cause it would seriously help in that env.

If no one pushes it, it won't get cheaper cause of the niche

I mean I for one thought this was brand new tech, only to find out its been out since 2019 already, just no one pushed it.

- Those LCD issues... even I could see the blurring vs SwOLED. My eyes bleeded! My 1st reaction was maybe they're using crappy recording equipment... but the reflection of what looks like a pretty professional camera in the S2 screen put that to rest. Seems like a firmware update might improve things.
- My brain switched off with the docked mode stuff. I need to get up to date with nits and HDR and VRR and stuff.
- Did they mention anything of temperatures and fan noise? Maybe not an issue...?
- Surprised at the love for Gamechat!

I recently picked up a modded V1 Switch for 3.5k , but the Switch 2 is tempting me.
I've technically got the cash for a Switch 2 but I wouldn't be able to have access to the same library of games, I'd just have MKW and I'd be able to borrow a copy of TOTK, and maybe pick up some smaller games.
Should I be selling my Switch V1 so I can experience the performance gains of the Switch 2?
Should I hold off on playing stuff like Tears of The Kingdom till I eventually get one? I've been enjoying TOTK so far, even with the frame drops and bad resolution(My switch can only display at 720P on my TV, 1080p makes it glitch out. Works fine on other screens though)
