Switch 2 thread

LMAO so what's different about it than a vanilla switch and online purchase? The box?

It's meant for people waiting for Pokémon before they buy a Switch 2.

Ironically, those who held off buying a Switch 2 for Pokémon would rather buy a physical game than opt for digital with console.

I see OG switches going for under R3k on gumtree these days.
There's also a Switch 2 up for R9.5k. Sweet deal. Dealer in Plumstead.
I’d rather go for the OLED second hand

Won’t use gumtree either, scammers for me.

Ha ha ha **** Nintendo on 20 year old games:

To be fair it's two games, so R700 per game. More or less what Meroid Prime Remaster went for and everyone seemed ok with that.

A couple hundred less would be more palatable (e.g. R500 per game) but not totally unreasonable. Nintendo have been going crazy with prices and rightly criticised. I'm ok with this one though. SMG2 is one of the best Mario's ever so well worth it

Next year, they might release Super Mario Bros 1, 2 and 3 on Switch 2 for R1599. I mean it is 3 games.

No man. Best is to play it on emulator then.

These prices should be for new games, not re releases with some cheap makeup on

Do people really first wait for reviews or watching someone else play before buying?

I saw a thread about Silksong.
So I have bought it.

I don't know what it is about, I don't know anything other than Hollow Knight is V1. So I will get Hollow Knight and play.

Been pre-ordering stuff I had no idea what it is about or without reviews for years.

Mostly play games 2+ years after release, so normally don't pre-order.

The only "recent" game I bought before it was released was Starfield, and that bit me back. So yeah, back to playing ancient games again.

Now playing No Man's Sky after finishing Ys 1-7 <- sure you can pick up the trend :D

I wait first nowadays, been bitten in the past buying games on release and wasting my money.
