how do u guys get in? When i install the inital small client, i try log in and says "You are connected from a country thats not supported". oh wells, i guess i cant afford 20gb either ^_^
sheesh this is GOOD. Never played wow, but played Guild Wars, MU Online and EVE for about 5 years.......as my only other MMOs
But this is much better. Choices, moral choices in an MMO.
Love the graphics style. This is my new EVE, I can promise you that. I was a little copnfused as to teh controls in the beginning, but after a level or 2 I have settled in nicely. On lvl 7 with a trooper.
Remionds me very much of Kotor, but with a lot more action as well.
Played for a few hours last night, took me a while to get used to the control scheme, but once I got over that I had a blast. Got a Jedi Warrior to level 5 or 6. Think today I might give Bounty Hunter a try, and probably some other classes too.
Having put it quite a bit of time into it this weekend, I do believe that this will be the first MMO that I spend money on. I've been enjoying it quite a bit, and I want to see where all the class stories go. The fully voiced characters add a very single-player type feel to the game, I pretty much forgot that I was playing a MMO. Preferring single player games, this really fits right in my alley. Can't wait for the retail release now!
Can we get a sticky going detailing what realms SA players are going to play on? Would be nice to get a decent SA guild going early on.
Beta toons are going to be deleted before release anyway, so if most of us are onboard with the same realm before launch things will be much easier.
During beta I played on Burning Crucible (at least I think that was the name). I can't find a server list anywhere either, but I'll screenshot it tonight and maybe post it in a new thread.
best way is to order it on Amazon US. I got CE ordered and gonna cost me a bundle with international 3 day shipping, but you can just order standard which is much cheaper but you will take a hit on shipping. Depending on version you buy you can get early access up to 5 days before launch on 20/12 which by then hopefully you get you physical copy by (don't need game for early access just a redeemable code).
nope devs have stated repeatedly that if you buy any version (EU and US) you will be able to play on any US or EU servers of your choice (they are not region locking servers or versions). They are not restricting access once you have a game, just restricting what countries can buy the game directly.
I do say though that while leveling from 1-20 was awesome after that game gets a bit buggy, hopefully they should have most fixed by launch though. Compared to WoW at beta and launch stage, TOR is in a much better state and I think some ppl are expecting too much from TOR at launch to be WoW killer and its going to take them time to get there but given a chance from what I saw on the weekend I think Bioware will get there.
