Oh well, looks like it's going to be another very long wait to get our office lines upgraded.
We can practically see the MSAN from our balcony (200m away) but we are not going to be connected to it, instead we are connected to a DSLAM more than 3km's away. Seems that's just the way the cables are run.
Webafrica site still says we can get VDSL but I have confirmed multiple times with TelkomZA that this is impossible so the WA tool is most definitely very flawed.
At least my flat (which is in the next block) has VDSL. Maybe I should set up a wifi network between the two points and get an additional line installed at my place. Anybody know what kind of hardware I would need for this - we're talking 300 meters, line of sight is a bit blocked though.
