Tablet for mainly reading e-books

Ok, so these tablets are what I could scrounge up from Takealot. Regardless of price, which of these four tablets offer the best value and features?
Two things to consider. I agree with what some had said earlier, and that is for reading, a 10" is better that an 8". The other thing to consider, again for reading, is the screen resolution and the higher the better. Normally with a cheaper tablet, the screen resolution is 1280x800 and the higher end units are 1920x1200.

I guess I might be back in the market for some recommendations. I got a compulsory e-book for this year and it is a schlep to deal with it on my phone. So I'm considering a tablet again.

^^^ this

I've done my fair share of reading on all kinds of devices, E-Ink beats LCD every single time, there is no comparison

the cheapest dedicated e-reader will still be much easier on the eyes for lengthy reading than the most expensive tablet with the most pimp LCD/OLED screen

100%. Nothing beats E-ink for reading ebooks.

And verdict?
Will be able to give it on Monday, the Enkulu will be delivered then.
It's not e-ink right?
Nope, don't think so.

I checked out the Kindle (ignoring price) but the app I have to use for the e-book can't be installed on Kindle (you can't install anything except e-books from Kindle store apparently).

This review of the Enkulu sold it:

I was sceptical of this brand but I have to admit I think this is one of the best investments I made. Got e-books instead of hard copies and put all my university books on here it works like a dream to read on. I also play some games on it and can watch Netflix on it as well. There is a small issue with the background it is for some reason a bit blurry but I got myself an app to fix it so thats a small issue. The battery lasts long I can use it an entire day and a half before having to charge it. The quality also feels nice it doesn't feel like a cheap tablet and the fact that you get a cover with is amazing. Would really recommend this to all my friends and family. If you want proper ebook reader then a kindle is best (ad free ideally).

why?

Battery life. 10 weeks about vs about a day with a normal tablet.

This tablet was released in July 2019 so it was before they were stopped from using Android. From some of the videos I've seen it does have the Google play store.
Although any future updates has the Google Play Store removed.

Basically anything Huawei doesnt have Google anymore. Many of the other Chinese brands are similar.
