Tablets sales suffer sharp drop

Biggest thing I found with tablets is that they didn't fit organically into my lifestyle.

I had to constantly think "oh I'm doing x - I should take the tablet along with me".

It's far easier to just use my phone if I don't have my laptop with me.

Agree, I think a tablet would be great for non IT peeps who are into reading...tablet will be much easier to read in bed than a laptop. And reading a lot on a smaller phone won't be compfy at all IMO.
Though Acer Switch and Lenovo have laptops with detachable screens so that may also be a factor.

That's what I use my tablet for most - reading, browsing. When I get home my laptop rarely leaves it's bag unless I have some code to write.

We all have tablets already. Huge surprise.

+1

Bought by Sony Tablet Z just over 2 years back and I looked at the new one, but not much different for me because I can everything on current older one, albeit slower. In this economy, probably better to save the R400pm x 24 anyway.

I don't see the point in upgrading my tablet.
