So I've been wanting to get another tattoo for a while now but have been uhming and ahing over it in my usual non-decisive way. I eventually decide what I want to do and then I'm told its tacky... so my question is:

Is having my daughters name tattooed on my foot tacky?

I thinks all tattoos are tacky. But that is just me. It's a personal choice. Ask someone you really trust to be honest with you. You are just going to get a bunch of silly answers here.

Foot and tacky (takkie!:)) being used in the same sentence seems to make sense to me! :)

A tattoo is personal, it should not matter what anyone else thinks!

I just think on your foot is tacky anywhere else it's a really good idea.

Why your foot thou?

Well I want it in a place that I can cover up if neccessary (work etc). Also being of the female persuasion I dont want to do it anywhere that may stretch or wrinkle too much. I already have one on my lower back so that's out as an option... It's my ankle, foot or calf/calve/carfblahblahblah (I dont know how to spell that word)...

what if you get cankles when you're older :p:D

my tattoos means something. And you daughters name does. Go for it. Its only tacky if its your bfs name

Ok so decided then. I'll get the tattoo. Still to decide on foot or ankle (I think the design will play a big part in where it goes). So my next question is: colour or plain black? Just the name? Or more decorative? I have a few design ideas in mind but I'm worried that 10 years from now its going to look old school or cheap. But by the same token, I dont want to get something boring now... although I could go for plain and then decide if I want to spruce it up.....

omg :( all these options :(

Yeah getting a tattoo is a really hard decision. I think only you can decide don't be influenced by what someone else likes.

If it were me I'd go with something close to black with some colour highlighting. Best bet is to sit with one of the tattoo artists and design it.
