Not sure if this is the correct place for this thread, but has anyone seen how expensive takealot has become. Additionally their daily specials indicate extremely high market prices "you save R500", when in actual fact you save about R100.

Loot.co.za Crucial MX100 SSD R1500
Takealot.com R1800

Not surprised, I use Loot or Raru quite often now than I use to cause of the merger.

Sweet. I heard Raru are former takealot employees or am I mistaken?

Only reason to use takealot now is for the free shipping via mobile app if your order is below R250

Avoided using takealot because of their prices. I could just about always find it cheaper elsewhere. Used to use Kalahari quite a bit. Ever since the merger many of the products on Kalahari have been priced higher.
Loot is the next best thing, will continue to avoid takealot as far as possible.

I dont like how they change their price. A hdd was 1400 then moved to 1600 and it said previously 1800 which I know is a lie

Noticed this during May Day Promo / Hibernation Sale. They would have a particular item in stock for example R300 next hour you check price went back to R600. I think takealot sell x amount thereafter normal prices apply.
