Takealot complaint

They're treading a dangerous path, customer service is what built them and it can just as easily break them if they don't address this.
They don't care... like many others (Afrihost comes to mind).
Too much gravy, delicious gravy in the CEO's trough at the moment...

Yes and the absense of publicly available discount vouchers is not helping their case either.
 
Just try and send things back that you did not order and actually get what you have ordered.

It's a mission to get hold of them, customer service number is not listed on their site, can guess why.
When you finally get hold of them they give empty promises and empty words that they have escalated it, more BS words that another telecoms company loves to use.
Then they force you to wait for their screw-up to be fixed by them, because they care, more BS.

If you had your own company, would you make a customer wait a week to fix your companies ****up?
 
Takealot closed my account - they kept sending me newsletters, and I kept unsubscribing - which didn't work.

I them sent them an email to please stop sending me marketing stuff - or close the account. They responded "Ok - we've closed your account".

This was a "new" account - a few years ago they closed my account after a return fiasco (they insisted they'd collected an item that was still sitting on my desk)
 
Still got nothing out of these thieves, they are now refusing to return the money I have paid for the items I never received

What the hell is going on with takealot contact number 087 362 7666. Suddenly it tell to to log a request on their website. Which I cannot find. I return stuff to their local depot in our town last Sunday morning and up till now no acknowledgement on my porthole they receive it or process it. I send emails and try to call nothing. the guy at the depot just told me he send it to the warehouse in cape town and he cannot help me further. any1 have the same issues?
 
Takealot does not want you to phone or email them. File a ticket and we'll get to you when we can. The worst way to handle customer service and they've been going downhill for years on this front.

Even if the item is a little more expensive, I buy from Loot instead, just because their customer service is better.
 
Had issues with a takealot items twice. Both times they picked up the item the next day and money was refunded 3 days later. Loot also had good customer services just really slow responsive times
 
No issues here, good prices and quick delivery so far.

Over a week later and these cvnts still refuse to deliver anything I have actually paid for or ordered.
Things are all good and well when you get what you want, and it all works, but they give fvckall if you want to return things or want them to deliver what you actually ordered and not some other random crap that has never even been close to your wish list
 
I remember when I ordered some paper from Takealot and they sent me something much more expensive. I let them know about the issue and they asked for photos as proof!

I just responded saying "Do you want it back or not?"

Then they wanted to send a courier to collect so they could process an exchange.

I said, "Send courier with my paper first and we can make the exchange."

They did. :ROFL:
