Takealot Delivery

So I placed an order with Takealot around 17th November, Sunday evening, 27th Dec, I get an SMS indicating that my order would be delivered... Im guessing the items' were in JHB which need to be shipped and that is fine. So like a fool I waited, then Monday evening I get an email advising that my order was rescheduled for the next day, next day being Tuesday no delivery, Wednesday no delivery, Thursday being today no delivery...

Now I get that this past weekend was Black Friday but my order was placed around the 17th so surely it should be prioritized, surely I should receive my order before the Back Friday orders. I tried emailing and there is little to no response, I tried calling, the agent was very helpful and ready to assist but again no joy! The feedback i keep getting is that the customer service team is trying to make contact with the delivery team not is not able to get through...

I dont see why Takealot can not schedule a period in the day that you order would be delivered even if that window is 3hrs but to be told that your order would be delivered before 5pm means that the poor customer has to wait for the order till it arrives, If you leave or miss the delivery then the delivery is scheduled for days later as if it is your fault that you were not home.

So any suggestions?

I dont bother with courier I send it straight for collection its cheap 2km drive from me and I collect when its convenient not maybe sometime during the week

also its quicker typically less than 24 hr when available anyway
 
Yup, I also pick collection whenever possible. Just a couple of bulky items where they don't allow collection.
