Takealot - Excellent Service

Good and prompt service from Takealot with regards to a refund on a missing item. They offered to send the item again or do a credit. Asked for a refund to my credit card and received it without issues.

Do not throw away your packaging until you made sure your order is resolved. There is a unique tracking number on each package you need to give them in order to track where the items went missing.

To report missing item I used the CONTACT US button.

and then they ask for the following information:

Was the packaging tampered with or damaged upon delivery?
How many boxes were received upon delivery?
Have you received any item/s you did not order?
Confirm the S- label listed on the package/s. (E.g., S182120980)
 
Am I dreaming, or does Takealot have a number again. Was busy buying when this number appeared for assistance on Checkout. I actually phoned it and a human answered and was very helpful in answering a general question.

Wow! It is going to snow. I even got an email from Takealot now giving's me even more information, I didn't even request this, but it is very helpful.

10/10 Takealot.
 
I always check takealot first, even if they are a bit more expensive, their service has not failed me once.
 
First time ever I went to their Richmond pick up point this weekend. I see they now also have robots that deliver the items to you. Thought it was pretty cool. I was confused at first cos I couldn't find the counter number that was displayed on the screen.
 
Oh no, takealot is dropping the ball.
First they canceled an order, went back to takealot and items still show as in stock.
Then they also updated another order from 10th to 14th. That is 7+ days to deliver an item.
Maybe it is because it comes from another country (Cape Town) and has to go through Twisters ( Tornados) and Domestic Disputes (Riots) to get here.

Amazon must be closing soon.

I'm going to check and see if I can get it sooner locally and then cancel the order as soon as it says out for delivery. They can then wait another 7+ days to send it back to their country. (or maybe not, will see how I feel after a cup of coffee)

i still have mixed feelings about Takealot - i recently needed that portable clothes washing machine because i moved into a place where they do your laundry and ironing for you but not the underwear - so i needed the 6,5 litre unit and they seemed to have it on a special so i placed the order, however when it arrived they had sent a smaller one without the three different timings which is not the one i had paid for so i considered sending it back but i decided that since this was in my hands i may as well try it .... so it worked the first time but it did not handle volume very well (Which seemed par for the course because it was smaller than the unit i ordered) and then it just stopped working the second time i tried it - so i logged a return and they picked it up and promised a refund .... so there was good (the refund when the item stopped working) and there was bad (the sending of an item similar to but not the exact item i ordered) so for me the jury is still out - in the meantime apparently Clicks have the unit i want so going to check there for it

now i have ordered an ergonomic gaming chair with a leg rest (a very average one and not the best you can get) ie this one here

if the chair arrives and it lives up to the promise of the reviews and doesn't have any missing screws and bolts (some of the merchants on takealot are famous for sending incomplete units) i might develop some faith in Takealot

Around 6 separate orders this month and all arrived within a couple of days.

One of the orders arrived the 8th, I opened the box, realised it is not exactly what I wanted, closed the box, taped it, loged a return with the option refund to my Credit Card. Next day, Friday, the delivery guy fetched the item. Monday the money is back in my bank account.

Yes, I am still a bit bummed about the Bosch fridge I never got... but whatever.... this December they did really well.

Are you in CT or where?

Try AA Furnishers or Tafelberg. Best you shop around, and then tell them you can get it cheaper from say one and if they can beat the price.

AA shaved about R5k off my kitchen prices from Tafelberg. But I bought a lot

Tafelberg is great if you buy the end of range stuff. Can buy them quite cheap then but still with a warranty

always a good idea to read bad reviews as well esp if there are only 11 in total.

Order been moved closer again. Takealot you sneaky sneaky. They probably first waited for Helen to sign the outgoing parcels.

That's a rubish chair. NEVER buy a gaming chair at that price.

Rather buy an Ergonomic Office chair or spend at least R10 000+ on a gaming chair of the same value as a R3500 Office chair.
