I tend to compare prices between :

Takealot
Raru
Loot ( my favourite store at the moment)
Makro online store
Incredible connection online( now has free delivery for items over 250)


You know the **** has hit the ceiling when Incredible Connection is cheaper than Takealot.

I will say this over and ove again. Don't burn your fingers - do a comparison between all online stores available. No store will ever take a knock unless it's a clearance sale. Example my leather lounge suite paid R5000 retails for R30000 was just my lucky day that it was still covered in original packaging.. what a mission to pay long queues.. I miss those warehouse cleanse sales.

Example 42 " TV for R700 200 of them arrived in less than 40 seconds people cleared then out. The worst stampede I was ever part.

Got another two of those stupid R50 email vouchers which didn't work for others.

I for one will be shopping around.

Here is an idea:

Start a "alternatives to takealot" thread.

1. We have a nice place to let other people know about alternatives
2. By some chance ta picks up on this and maybe change their act a little

It is a start, just keep the OP updated

Using Loot.co.za mainly too after dumping a small fortune on take2/takealot over the years.

I have no idea how anyone can use raru, their website is horrific to use, if you don't search for what you want chances are you'll never find it.

Still recommend you do something to your website if you want to attract new customers, I have exact same complaint as Zenthrax

seems to work fine for me not sure what you having trouble with.

I type in 3ds and choose games and it shows me all the 3ds games and if I choose in stock it shows me what is in stock.

Raru is a great site, but try see if you can't improve the filtering of searches please. Really nice pricing though.

I agree with you. . I am also done with Takelot. Will let loot take my money even though have to wait 7 - 10 working days for my goodies. A great way to save an additional R100. If takealot scrapped the ebucks benefit would they lower their prices - I doubt they would..
