I'm not talking about the price. I'm saying that they claim to be having a DAILY Deal yet this is no special daily deal, it's the normal takealot price. Which means that some of the daily deals are nothing more than a brochure of their normal priced stock.

It's when you use your common sense to determine if the price advertised is really cheap enough for you to purchase an item you wouldn't even have seen if it wasn't on the daily deals page.
They're under no obligation to put special prices on daily deals. They've never defined the term. They can put anything they like up there. Seriously, don't be lazy - if you want a bargain, put in some effort.

My take is that if you want to buy something, add it to your wishlist. Then you can track the price of it all the time. If it comes on as a daily deal, you can decide whether it's a deal or a ripoff

I've actually started doing that as well. My gripe is that I don't get notifications when there are price changes on stuff in my wishlist. Not even on the app

Sure they can do as they please, however it is unethical and deceives the consumer.

If they want unhappy customers then they should continue as they have been doing

Exactly. People have gotten the wrong idea about daily deals and think they should be 50% cheaper than their regular special pricing.

Original price is R149. Price changed very recently to R193 but says previously it was R237. Lies!!!

Did anyone notice the daily deal price of Logitech Z906 before it sold out today?

Edit: "Logitech z906 for R3500 !" - Mentioned in the hardware bargains thread.
