Takealot is so shady. I dont understand why their prices are inflated, they arent even offering monthly vouchers to justify the inflated prices.

Takealot is like any other store , some things might be cheaper than other stores, some might be a little more. They have been trying to give back with their promos etc. I don't get why when people don't get what they want from a certain store , they open an attack on them. If you saw it cheaper on loot, buy it from them. No point crying. I'm sure if we browse loot and takealot and compare, we will find many things that takealot is cheaper in.

+1. We shop around.

Shoppers want to use their ebucks/discovery miles. I wonder what would have if they didn't have any ebucks to begin with, and vouchers .

You get like 2-3% back depending on level

The thing I really like of Takealot over Loot is the free delivery. I see loots does free delivery on R250 or more orders but Takealot has free delivery for all orders...

Takealot still cheaper on a lot of things. Planning to buy Risk and Pictionary next month. Both are R100 cheaper than CNA.

Only their mobile app has free delivery *till the promotion ends which has been running since day 1 of the mobile app*, the website free delivery is the same as loot.co.za, R250 or more then its free. It's free for any item if they are running a promo for the month /weekend /holiday on the website

You can place your order on the mobile site and get free delivery on Takealot.

Since the merger I have yet to buy anything from Takealot, other sites are cheaper now. And the fact that Takealot carries a lot less items now. Last year there were a lot more to choose from on their site.
I didn't use Takealot that much when KDN was around. Just to compare prices. But what I see now and used to notice is that they have a lot less variety of products.

If it's because the other items were just not profitable, then I completely understand, but it still sucks.

I think that a lot of us are "invested" in Takealot (Kalahari). We want it to succeed and we want to be loyal customers. So when we see the changes that they have made, it's really disappointing.

I'm very sentimental about Kalahari. It was the first company that really introduced me to online shopping and I saved a lot by buying from them AND since then a large portion of my shopping is done online now, just not that much at Takealot anymore.

They already have succeeded. And now they are trying to screw the pooch. The merger does not seem to be good for us consumers.

Go out and work. Stop waiting for handouts. :D

New Rule. Each time a new voucher is posted have the courtesy to say thank you or else in future no more vouchers will be posted publicly. Noticed many aren't grateful for a R50 Voucher, but instead want R100 vouchers... Wait until the free deliver promotion ends on desktop website - vouchers should start appearing.

Doubt there will be. This was predicted before the merger. I don't care about the vouchers as I don't use them and shop around instead.

..or just add what you want to wishlist on desktop site, log on with mobile app, transfer from wishlist to cart, purchase and get free delivery
