Takealot Vouchers (Begging) Thread

I got a power bank last month with a built in solar charger (using a R100 voucher). Been standing in the living room in the sun for a month. Try it out today on my tablet, gave me 5 minutes and was flat.

So ... I'm going to be testing Takealot on their returns. Unfortunately I don't have the packaging material anymore, so let's see ...

So btw, don't buy this: Fine Living Solar Power Bank 4000mAh

The quality of this device is really questionable and I have to jiggle the USB port to get it working properly. It's not clear at all when it is charging, charged or discharging. Not really worth the money. Rather skip over spending small amounts on questionable devices and buy one high quality device.

Didn't worked for my Iphone 5S, I hooked it with the solar charger and it was in the full sun.. showed charging on my phone but after 15min the battery was where it was. doesn't work with my Iphone 4..compatibility issues.

This device, even when fully charged did not charge my iPad Mini 3 or even my iPod Touch. It charge my Samsung Galaxy J1 phone. When depleted I had it in bright light or direct sunlight for an entire day, but didn't increase my battery by even 1 percentage point before it was depleted.

Yeah, also leaving a battery (cell inside the powerbank) in direct sunlight isn't good for its long term health.

Heat is the number 1 killer of batteries.
 
A solar powerbank has to stand in direct sun and not through a window.

I did some Googling and the consensus seems it works fine but with some energy loss. It's been standing there for a month.

In any case my large panel has glass too.
 
Anyone have a R100 off R250... voucher. ... please...... could really use it☺

What kind of markups are there involved with airtime, from what a I have heard it's pretty slim, surprised they allow it?

Markup on most of their stuff is pretty slim.
