Taking a break from WoW

I play RoM with my g/f, so our computers are next to each other.

In WoW, when i jumped, i had to coutn around 1-2 for my action to happen on her screen.

In RoM, when I jump, I am already jumping on her screen before I land on mine.

Soz thats about the best I can do for you as there dont seem to be a built in latency meter.

However, Curse.com has recently announced it will start hosting addons for RoM, so one day maybe I can get my fubar back...

i quit wow too ... and gaming completely, have been free of wow for a whole month with no need to go back. I read the changes occasionally but feel no need to play.

I'll probably play in june'ish when its cold and misrable.

I also froze my WoW account. Been clean for 3 weeks now :) The game just doesnt appeal to me at the moment.

Is RoM free?

That comment about the snail mail taking forever wasn't kidding... Stokey sent me a copy in the mail a while back and it seems someone at the SA postal service scored himself a copy of RoM on my behalf.

Is there someone who wouldn't mind sending me a copy of RoM?
Please PM me. I know mail aint free, so I will defenately send you a CD of something you want (eg WoW updates/Patch ect. (If I have it) whenever you ask for it.

Thanks

Tried RoM...it fails badly :S

They are trying to make it too WoW like...its annoying.

busy dling it atm

what interests me is the dual class aspect

At the moment WoW end game is failing terribly, log on and am bored out of my skull, went through the same with GW after finishing EoTN, the replayability that was there is gone.

So will give rom a try whilst I wait for Uldar, is a pity that all the new content is so dumbed down now days :?

I think they realized that even the noobs have now finished the end game content and are hopefully bringing back some of the old joy in the uldar patch. I have stopped playing for two months now and dont see myself playing again untill maybe in june when its cold and you generally feel like staying indoors more often.

There are certain aspects of the game that seem to irritate me these days.

I could not agree with you more. We are about 20 friends playing and 80% of them are tired and sick of WoW.

I think once you have played this game for almost 4 years and have witnessed all the changes good and bad .... the BAD stands out.

What they have done to the game in the last couple of months before and after Lich King is horrible.

Simple changes in the game should never have happened. Example : Motorbikes and Helicopters , Flying Aladin Carpets .... when looking at Warcraft and they style of the lore and environment , the implementation of these 3 items are ALIEN to the game. There is plenty more of this also . Insane class changes ! Gear Skins ! list can go on and on .

I understand that the game should grow and accomodate 12million players but for heavens sake " Hulle ruk nou die dam onder die eend uit"

WoW isn't the game I started playing almost 4 years back . Strangely enough I dont feel like stopping but as soon as a good replacement comes along I might just feel the urge to stop.

One last note : Where did the WoW community migrate to , I remember the days where ppl actually used to semi Roleplay , ppl did crazy funny stuff and every WoW session was something unique BUT lately its this amazing universe with nothing fullfilling in it !

MMOs have a tendency to do that... they evolve

Yeh finding it a bit tough to stay in the game atm. The last few months have turned me into a real when we!

As we blazed through Naxx last night, all completely bored, we got onto lamenting the demise of CC and how each mob pull used to be an event; wrong cc, broken cc or sleepy raider = wipe now it just stuffs up my frame rates.

Busy downloading Runes of Magic. So in comparisson to wow is there end game content like 10 - 40 man raids?
