Tapatalk alternative

This. Can't see the attraction. Used the MyBB tapatalk for a bit, but clogged up my notification area with useless crap.

Was back to browser after a couple days.

"New posts" is all that's needed. Threads that you have replied in get colour coded so no need to get notified.

You do know that you can turn notifications off right? One thing that Tapatalk has had from the beginning is a list of participated threads, something that I'm sure sure can even be implemented on the Web based forums. Looking for colour codes is tedious and mundane.
 
1* the last 2 versions of the app (android) . Hope they will do something about it. Since the change I can't find anything, the massive headlines are an issue and its just crap to be honest

This. I tried Tapatalk. Couldn't find any reasons to keep using it :sick:
 
Wow - this new version is indeed truly awful.
 
It needs more bad reviews in the iOS AppStore. There's only 2 so far. Mine and someone elses. Please guys, the more negative reviews it gets the quicker they will fix it... Hopefully...

Edit: I'v moved over to the mybroadband app for the time being. Tapatalk is unusable.

What's worrying is that they pushed the new look to Android, then everyone complained with a barrage of one star reviews but rather than changing it back or altering the look, they rolled it out to iOS anyway.
 
Just give us a theme option and I'll be happy.

Take away all the wasted space and fill it with text llke it used to be.

Forums are about text, not looking pretty.

About the only thing I like are the posts themselves and the new easy to read font. The rest is ****.

There was always ForomRunner. No idea if it still exists or is as plugin dependant.
 
I've switched to the MyBB Tapatalk for MyBB and have kept the normal version for my other forums.
 
Stick with version 3.x (iOS6). Sorry to hear they focus on adding features instead of fixing bugs.
In this app bugs are everywere. I can't use reply, it would require external editor.
Tried many times, wasted lot of time, finally using WEB browser and Tapatalk just for notifications.

I've not found it buggy in probably all of 2014.

But this UI change is ridiculous.

Time to install iOS 7...or dare I say 8 maybe?
 
Aaah iPhone 4.

What horrible bug are you so scared of you'd rather be stuck on 6?

I have a 3GS I toyed with the other day again, can't imagine living with iOS 6 again.
 
Higher basic memory requirements (or leaks), cause to be sluggish. Shorter battery life, many other problems reported (also on this forum). Besides, personally I don't like white poor-contrast screen and the best apps still support v6 - so no rush, but I can live with it assuming real problems are sorted out.
 
They never going to bring back the old tapatalk. I read on their official forums. They trying to increase their user base by attracting more females and hence making the app more social like Pinterest and Facebook. Time for someone to develop an alternative. For now, I'll stick to the mybb app.
