Howcome when i do the Tax Calculater thing it says that my annual PAYE is R675? I pay waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than that?
Try the refresh button... then ask your company for a copy of your irp5
Mmmm i did that. Also have a copy of my IRP5, and on there my PAYE is in the thousands :/
Yes but I filed it through e-filing and it says on e-filing that I filed it through another channel. I have only ever done it through e-filing.

Can anyone tell me where to list dividends and/or capital gains on the ITR12 return?
I have a section for Local Income which has Local Interest (code 4201) only.
Looks like this is used for interest on bank accounts, etc...
Not sure if dividends/CGT should be included in this or listed elsewhere.
you need to say "yes" to the "capital gains" section on the "wizard". it will then create the section on the return for you.
Thanks, managed to find it. Had to select "other income" on the wizard.
Tax return has been filed. Looks like I'm going to have to pay in.
did you complete the capital gains section correctly. you must fill in the proceeds and base cost section from the information you were given.
ignore that.
Yes I filled both in. The gains were from free share options that were sold, so the base cost was actually 0.
The pay in is mostly due to interest though and not capital gains.
are you sure you have this correct? interest is interest and not capital gains. you have a piece of paper informing you that you received interest on capital gains?
Then you shouldn't have anything to worry aboutDoes it mean I'm in k@k for something?
I filed the return with absolute honesty and integrity.

I would guess there is a threshold or system for flagging for audit
