tconnect / telkom connect ?

They introduced themselves as Telkom Connect (tconnect). I was able to find the website with the number they gave, but makes it only seem more suspicious as there's only the main page with a picture, and the number (tconnect.co.za).

They said they might be able to be able to offer me adsl cables, even though Telkom won't bother to replace my cables.
 
Right! I called Telkom about them and the operator checked with a supervisor and said T-Connect is handling transfer from ADSL to fiber for them. Now I've had a call from a "partner" who wants to offer me value add services. I told her I don't want any because you never use them and you can never get rid of the debit order. She follows a script that's carefully crafted to make you think it is free. She keeps saying what it's NOT but not what it IS. Long and the short of it is that the services aren't free, but it's like pulling teeth to get the telesales person to say so in so many words. CROOKS! I have no idea why Telkom is working with TConnect, and why T Connect is then allowed to sell us down the river to their shady "partners" but as I said, I got it from the horse's mouth that they're authorized to handle ADSL to fiber. I still think it's shady, and I'll be watching my bank statements like a hawk!
