During covid I signe dup for a 3 user licence with teamviewer and paid by subscription for 2 years. During 2022 I received a mail from a consultant wanting to discuss my package with them, at that point we had found another solution so I replied with a mail stating that I dont need a call and intended to not renew my subscription.

Turns out, Teamviewer has an auto renew policy and need 28 days notice to a specific email in order to cancel. I have now been handed over to some debt collection agency in germany for the recovery of 260EURO.

Any suggestions?
 
Log into your account on TV website, update your credit card info using a virtual card and then cancel the virtual card.
 
And do you just make sure there is no money in there for them to take? Surely the transaction only approves if the funds clear?
 
With regards to the debt agency in Germany, I doubt they have any jurisdiction in South Africa so I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

When you add a new card to a site they typically perform a validation of the card by charging it for a few cents and then refund the transaction.

similar thing for me.Cant remmember the exact story but it was threating email.Anyway i paid temaviewer and notified the debt collection company , so all good.

Not sure this is going to work because they tried to take funds off my expired card and I’ve now been handed over. They would have just taken the funds if they had been available.

I don’t want to pay TV.
 
Lots of complaints about not being able to cancel Teamviewer subs, I see I'm alos being bugged to buy from anydesk as well.

Rustdesk seems the next best alternative?

Gave up with Teamviewer and Anydesk, been using Rustdesk for a while now with no issues.

Tell em to ****off,you'll pay for a month and use your cancellation right per FCCA
