Bringing Gordan back will not affect Rand. Humiliation of Gordan is well deserved.
Rand value depends on many other factors, mainly whether Zuma will be acting decisively in prossecuting banks for their collussion in trying to devaluate Rand. Rand regained some value in result of this action. Future of Rand depends on successful prossecution of this case.
I do remind you facts:Bringing Gordan back will not affect Rand. Humiliation of Gordan is well deserved.

Honest question answered...Due to the ongoing personal insults and ignoring merits in this post:
I do remind you facts:
In December Rand was at the level x14 to the USD. Since about 20th December Rand started improving, reaching x13 (average) in March. What caused this thrend? See my post #19202176 https://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/862308-Why-Absa-dumped-the-Guptas/page6
If you are a going to discuss it further, attack merits, not a messenger.
As I said humiliation of Gordhan is fully deserved. He disobeyed executive orders in trying to shelter banks against prossecution. Now Mr.Gordhan, it is a time to go, in few hours he will be leaving in shame.
Rand will improve soon when investors learn they deal with strong, unified and decisive leadership. Gupta's and bank collusion (against Rand value) cases are landmarks here.

As I mentioned before Rand was improving much over last three months. A reason is clear, I see nobody objected merits. Temporary drop 2-3% is not important. Rand will improve when investors see that firm action against banks (who tried to devaluate RAND for years and now actively act to eliminate competitors in business sector) go ahead. So, your explanation of the Rand drop so far?

Zuma looks very good laughing, I agree.

It doesn't matter, you don't win. Zuma does.:wtf:
I said nothing of the sort.

Actually they acted in the direction to depreciate Rand. Couple souces have mentioned that. Banks were acting in conspiracy to overthrown Zuma for many years. Zuma was introducing new business players from China, Russia and India (Guptas are only few). International bankers protect business of the closed elite which is ruling this world. Any business which is violating their supremacy is eliminated. What you see in mass media reflects their main goal - public perception is created to facilitate changes. The last attempt to unseat Zuma failed last year. When action against banks was announced, Rand started strenthening and this was continuous trend till now. It shows that there are investors outside close elite who are interested doing business in South Africa. The banks were not devaluing the rand, they were manipulating it.
That means sometimes strengthening it, and sometimes devaluing it, all to make more money.
But what the net effect of all their games were, nobody knows, they may even have strengthened it overall.
