Telkom 1Gig Keeps running..

Is it not illegal for Telkom to randomly charge you without making it clear to you that there has been a change in the contract? They have not informed their customers of any changes and so they can't make any changes to the billing.

From what I remember reading, they said this system is on "trial" and that after the trial they will inform their customers of the update to their contracts.

So basically, in the trial period they cant charge you?

Maybe I've gotten it totally wrong. Opinions?

I am confused, i have a do 3 account, you telling me if i go over that i am charged?......BullS&^%t that is not what i signed for:mad:

I'm pretty sure that you would have to agree to and sign a new contract if they where going to start the "pay as you download" ****. Still not sure about downloading. Has anyone phoned telkom and got any answers?

Doesnt it say that they have the right to change any of the terms and conitions without notice or something like that?

yes they can change it anytime they want to, so even though it looks like they not capping right now they could turn around and bill or disconnect/suspend abusers.

After seeing what some users have downloaded this month I've changed my mind and I now support capping, this abuse of bandwidth will at some stage affect everyone on this pathetic weak SA network.
