I have a 1 Gig account with telkom, normally it just cuts off when I reach my cap, but for some reason this month it just keeps running.. I'm about 12 Gigs over the cap it should have cut off 5 days ago. Could this be the uncapped local stuff everyone has been talking about or am I in for a huge bill at the end of this month?

are u 12gigs over using international or local bandwidth??

Well it won't be the new "uncapped" (read: useless) local.

Going to take a bit of time and you'll hear about it once they implement anything.

well apparently their uncapped is prepaid.. so you likely to get a nice bill :p

Its all local.. Will I still get charged as if it were international?

Yeah sounds like you are going to get charged at some point.

If you reset your password sometimes the cap goes a bit funky.

Call em and ask them, just incase u get a huge bill

well keep going man :)

is it legal for telkom not to cut you off at 1 gig and then charge you for say 20?

I called telkom this morning, according to them I was supposed to get cut of at 1Gig and that it is not possible to exceed it by much. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'm now at about 20gigs over..

LOL... Im downloading now... Will let u no When i get capped...

LOL...20GB, dude.
I really suggest you do not download anymore as if Telkom do charge you they might end up charging really rediculous prices. like R100 per 1GB of local cap!. Now thats like R1900.

Im NOT saying that they will charge you for your extra download or if they will charge R100 per gig of local cap...but im just saying its possible. ;)

I'm also on the 1 gig package, seems like telkom have not cut me off even after had some bandwidth theft that i reported over 3 gigs were downloaded over 5 days that i was not by my PC....

I'm to afraid to download not sure what the neighbour did or what he did as my account is under investigation... :( Do not want to re-top up more bandwidth..
