Telkom 1MB Free Trial

I'm currently running a 384k line. I phoned telkom, wanting to sign up for the 3 month 1mb trial and was told that i cannot sign up for it because it's only for customers without adsl, so i cannot upgrade for this trial.

Why is it that 384 users can't try out the 1mb line? Would terminating my adsl line then qualify me to sign up?

I don't think they'll give you 1Mbps free trial if you cancel your 384kbps now.

There is always a possibility that they might do it

Customers who were not registered Telkom account holders from 1 January 2011 to date.
Current Telkom account holders without broadband since 1 January 2011.

do what i did, ordered it under the wife's name after cancelling my 384k a while back
