Telkom 4 Mbps speeds

The telkom speed test is unaccurate. It's not possible to obtain download speeds faster than what the line is capable of. Try the Gamco or Openweb tests. You'll get the best and most accurate results on their servers. ;)

I did the Gamco one as well: 5.19 Mbps
 
Still 4096...must be a problem with the speed tests...just wanted to check with other users.
 
Oh ok, thought maybe Telkom were actually upgrading the lines beyond 4096 now, too much to ask for I suppose!

which means you can download at 208.94 KB/sec. from our servers.
 
Judging by sybawoods's results, I'd say the the Gamco test is much more accurate than that of Telkom.

iburst :3.43Mbps
gamco: Your current bandwidth reading is:2.08 Mbps
 
Is anyone else experiencing poor results with the IBurst speed test? All others give good results but on their site it's much slower.
