Hi,

I have always paid my Telkom accounts religiously and, dispite their poor support for Internet and general telephone accounts, I have never had any major issues.

I however cancelled my telkom internet for life account on December 2007.

January was not billed - correct.

I was with Sainet at this time, since they are the cheapest imho, and still am.

I however needed top up on Sunday the 20th on Jan. Sainet dont offer support on Sundays and my only option at this time that I was aware of, was my favorite internet ISP, Telkom.

I then tried to apply online for 2 gigs but there were SQL server errors upon clicking submit.
I tried several times thinking I was typing a field incorrectly. I then called support and asked them to try on their side.

They apparently were aware of this problem and my only option at the time was to retry again later.

Anyways, I never won that race; I found Cybersmart through MyBroadband and applied online.
At least I was sorted there.

Then come end of month February, my bill of a normal average bill being 600 bucks, was 6 grand.

I logged this and, cut a long story short, they promised to reverse all the charges being made.

They still have not done this and there is no reference for this call which I don’t understand.
They can not supply me with a ref number.

It gets logged and they read what they see on their computer screens.
RIDICULOUS.

My March Statement arrived and I have still not a damn reverse charge on the statement.


I have escalated this as per the telkom phone book but it doesn’t help me because they say that it is being looked in to.

What do I do?

Anybody know? Please help me.

Futher to this my March statement says i o them 8.9 grand.

Call accounts, log the dispute (again), and GET A REFERENCE NUMBER (christ, you're dealing with Telkom afterall)... If you don't have a reference number, it's not logged. If it's not logged, nothing is done about it. Cappish? :>
