Telkom ADSL checker down/broken?

If you lucky this site will show you the max speed in the area if I recall correctly:

http://www.telkom.co.za/coverage/

Sometimes it has a nasty habit of showing LTE though

Telkom's site stopped working, but the backend API must be fine because fortunately we can still query this data via sites like VOX and WebAfrica :-

http://www.voxtelecom.co.za/scripts/adslCheck/adslcheck.php?tnum=xxxxxxxxxx

Replace xxxxxxxxxx with 10 digit 'area code and phone number'

thanks!

looks like my area is part of the VDSL rollout according to Telkom coverage wonder when it will happen.

I applied yesterday for mine. I'm right on the edge, if I check the map. Our security complex has VDSL and the one next to us does not :p

The exchange I'm on was converted to support VDSL. Not really helpful though as I'm too far out to take advantage of that.

Where did you apply and it seems my exchange already supports VDSL according to the coverage map.

At Woodlands Mall Telkom Direct. Much less frustrating than waiting on the phone for someone to answer with no indication on how long you're going to wait.
