Telkom ADSL, I am so frustrated at the level of interdepartmental communications within Telkom as the consumer cannot speak to a specific individual to hold to account, I submitted an emailed document, (an official pdf document off the Telkom website) to place my line in the corporate holding pool, no response to acknowledge receipt of my communication, I happened to be in a Telkom walkin service centre where I enquired about the status of my application, I was told that I needed to lodge the application on the Telkom portal, did this ten days after sending the emailed application, a month later I still received no communication from Telkom, three days later I call the call centre, I was told to settle an amount, which was nominal, however the manner in which you need to settle does not allow you settle the actual amount but the amount reflected on their bill, did it anyway, I was guaranteed that five days later the line will be released to the holding pool, it's more than a month now, (two months after application), there has been no will or interest to move the line to the holding pool.
I really can't understand why Telkom asks people to rate the service after the call, there have been some convincing staff members who assure you it will be sorted, then there are those who have no clue as to what they speaking about, they unfortunately outnumber those helpful, knowledgeable staff members, so it's really difficult to give any communication with Telkom a good rating, one can only give the lowest score to the largest communication conglomerate.
Really pathetic, so I guess another three months of waiting I will need to endure. Gatvol!!!
