About a month or so ago I phoned telkom and asked for my line to be upgraded from 4Mbps to 10Mbps. They checked and said that it is available and will take 24-48 hours. (I spend about 30min on the phone to get this done)

A week later still nothing! I phoned them again and spend another 40 min on the phone and was advised that the previous person never did the upgrade. This time they assure me that it will be done. A day or 2 later I checked my router stats and saw that it has been upgraded.

Everything was fine for a week or so. Then suddenly I couldn't connect for a day. When I was able to connect again I saw that my line is back to 4MBps :mad:

How can I resolve this issue without phoning in and spending another 30-40min on the phone ?? I might just lose my temper if I have to speak to them again.

send a pvt message to telkomza with your order numbers and ask him to check, i have found him quite helpful

I think he must be on leave. Send him a PM but no reply. I phoned telkom again this morning but after waiting for about 20 min for a consultant I just put the phone down.

Your best bet is to try the their twitter account, I never call the centre for anything..they are very useful. I also upgraded to 10mb recently via the twitter account. Gave me problems at first cause my line stats suck but its fine now with the new system I guess.

So at last our cables were replaced today after our lines went down on 9/12.

Only problem is that my line is still on 4Mbps instead of 10Mbps
