Hey guys, so basically about 3 years ago we got a Telkom adsl modem (Netgear dgn2200) for free if we took out a 24 month 4mbps line only bundle. Now I want to know if Telkom still have this contract? How much do modems cost from Telkom? There is no info on their website.

You can get them to give you a new one when taking the old router there.

If you had a contract, then check if they cam upgrade the modem for you and move you to month to month.
I get a new modem every two years from Telkom when signing a two year contract .
I have no problems signing a two year contract because the infrastructure belongs to Telkom on ADSL , and see no reason to deal through a second party if my line goes faulty for a few rand less .

Ok so basically Telkom will give you a free modem if you stick with them for 2 years? That's lekker as the cost adds up when you need a R3300 wifi router and pay another R1000 for a modem. The house is huge so wifi router needs to be very powerful. Thanks guys for the help.
