Hi all

I am looking at moving to Telkom with a month to month 4mb uncapped advanced.
I tried to order on the site however there is no option to say :I have my own router"

Do I have to take their router?

It would seem the online order process doesn't allow for "own device" so OP is correct - retarded website forces you to call 10210...

Edit: no, you don't have to take their router.

I have Telkom ADSL and every time I have a line fault the Telkom tech looks at my modem and tells me the modem must be faulty if it's not a Telkom one.
I've been without service for 3 weeks now and the impasse continues.
FYI I use a T-Link modem and it's excellent

Get the "cheap" telkom adsl router . Use it to verify not your router (keep the stock guest acc on it) when technician arrive have him plug it in :)

the router is for free, so why not just take it? You not going to save anything by not taking it, cripes I have 4 of them.

same here and one is still in the packaging not sure what to do with it as they give me a new one every 2 years :p

OP wants month to month: no 24 month contract therefore no free router. Op's point is that the online order system does not accommodate his request.

they do have them for month to month, but new lines only not like he needs it with his own router, it is still handy when it breaks they will replace it for free :p.

Yeah already sorted just changing to telkom so I have the hardware, kine etc. I shall have to endure 10210... Sigh
