I wish but they'd never bump us 20Mbps VDSL users up to 40Mbps.

Only 2Mbps to 4Mbps.

So if they bump 2Mb to 4Mb will the price of 4Mb then be the same as 2MB currently? Should be...

4 to 8 is the problem, some of the DSLAMS just can't handle it, or they are still DSLAMS and they need to MSANS, I cannot remember I've not anything related to DSL for 11 years now.

Such people would obviously be paying less then.

If they bump my 4 to 8/10 I'll be very happy!

they can bump my 10mb to 20mb.
I already get 11mb on my 10mb line. I should get close to 20mb if they did this.
I suspect as others have stated, it's going to be 2->4 and 4->8/10 upgrades

It will be. Last time the upgraded 4mbps to 10mbps ... I paid for 10mbps, but only got 4mbps. I had to then phone them to downgrade my package.

Didn't want to start a new thread,

Just had an Openserve team come through to look at my line, he mention that ADSL lines will be bumped to the next higher speed from 1st August. I mentioned to him that I know fiber was getting upgraded but I knew nothing of ADSL getting the same treatment.

Anyone heard anything about ADSL speed bumps?

Did he come to your residence and in the house? What did he check?
