Telkom ADSL triple play planned

I bet monthly overall Telkom costs in the whole of S.A doesn't exceed 20 million. So that's 173 - 20 = 153 million p/m!

They spend about R890mil per month just on staff expenses....

sorry if i don't seem excited about all this, but anything telkom spouts i am very weary off nor believe if at all.

Yep - like most others in here, I was merely voicing my frustration at the hype over what I believe will not materialize - I just did it in a creative 'read between the lines' way. I mean, I seriously think it reads better than 'I think this is all horse twaddle and won't amount to anything'... or 'Telkom really sucks I tell you, don't believe a word they say'

Telkom is simply fail. Again they bragging about technology that should be fased out by now, not seen as a feat of accomplishment. Wake up Ruben, you are loosing the plot!

It's the only way they can do it - siphon off the regular support base to dish out to the elite... if they offered it to everyone, it would be a free for all. This way they get time to test.

Regardless of all the numbers cited in the article and threads, I still feel like I am being fleeced! :(
 
I think they need to focus on improving their pricing and do what Axxess has done

My pet topic!! The reason for targeting gated communities is that they can then run fibre to a control room somewhere in the complex. No reliance on the copper network that us normal suckers are totally dependant on for ADSL.
 
i live in such a complex, so telkom is most welcome to go and setup
