what? you mean like being blatantly chauvinistic that it gets killed completely by the competition?
like sony walkman's fall from grace (and the ipods rise)
like the playstation's fall from grace (and the xbox/wiis rise)
like apple's fall (and pcs coming to the fore)
sure mvela told them their co is going nowhere, & they'll offer them R50 for the whole lot, excluding management & telkom said no, we think we r worth R51. and that was the end of it...
So did Mvela decide that Telkom stocks had gone too low or did Telkom insist its share price would recover and therefore demand more money?
With Telkom's current team leaders it is going nowhere fast. Telkom should have taken the money and run. Perhaps there wasn't enough grease for the big, hairy hands of Telkom's board members.
And can i just ask a stupid question? Is it not unconstinutional or at least a very big conflict of interest for government to still be holding 30% of Telkom when there is now a SNO and VANS may very well be able to self-provide?
To be honest, this isn't a surprise at all. Telkom is no longer a real value proposition I would think, and any company that buys it in its entirety is not entirely with it.
