Telkom app to improve customer service

Now if only they would publish stats about the exchanges in each suburb - max speed, contention ratios, etc

Is there any improvement on the app compared to the current reporting channels? like:

/snip

I honestly don't see much of an improvement in customer service if these points are not met first. Being able to contact them on a platform which is basically the same as what you could do previously does not improve service it just improves a speedier platform for them to tell you to go fck yourself!!

An App doesn't fix the system, plus if there is any better performance it is unfair on other users. Seriously why not just focus on the website?? How often should you really be reporting issues that you need a dedicated app???

Why not focus on actually fixing problems and giving great customer service, start by publishing as much info about your plans, current operations and real times problems. This creates informed customers who in turn don't need to lose their minds trying to find out what is wrong and actually work with Telkom to help provide a better overall system.

So thank for the app, but since I should not expect to use it more than say once a year it means if you just sorted your website out that would be quicker than looking for the app, downloading and setting it up to then report the problem I should have already been able to do on the website.

I wonder how many of their customers have a tablet?

Surely this can be accomplished with a website as well, or release an application for windows/linux.

I spend lots of time on my laptop or some computer for that matter. Too much effort to start-up another device just to communicate with Telkom.

This is so dumb - it says in order to download the app you need to have a camera enabled iPad.

What the hell??? Are they going to spy on you as you send fault reports? So stupid - a developer error.

When I try to download it from my first gen wifi iPad it says it requires a video camera and GPS.
