Good morning

I am sitting with a problem with Telkom. I cancelled my contract early November 2020 and I made a follow up on 17 November 2020 to find out I am liable for any further fees.

I spend about 15 minutes on the line with the Consultant and I was advised and assured that my account is paid in full and I will not pay any further fees towards the Telkom account. And I was also advise to phone on 1 December 2020 for the paid up letter.

However, I keep on receiving sms stating that there is an amount that I need to pay.

I then phoned Telkom to request the recording for the 17 November 2020, but regrettably I could not be made available to me with my legal assistance or from the court.

Can I please check if this is correct or is there any alternative ways to resolve this matter?

I'm upset of the way my issue is being dealt with and these messages of outstanding fees.

Any advise will be highly appreciated

Get the app, all your numbers will appear and you can see if there is anything due.
I've got a business account that I've cancelled months ago. Nothing shows up on the app, Yet they still send me a bill every month for adsl. No line rental or anything. Just DSL data.

Ignore the SMS's. Telkom accounting is a mess. :)

They have a tendency to want to treat their businesses as separate entities when it suits them, does it show the TI (Telkom Internet) number on the bill?

You need to call them quoting that number to cancel the ISP account. Many people focus on the landlines number and not the other services in the package, understandable because Telkom usually sells the services as a package.

I cancelled all services individually on mine and got a ref for each, I still get a bill but only because they owe me, I have just let it be because I use the bill for a proof of address.

There is a TIN number for the ADSL Service on my invoice. According to Telkom you need to send a email requesting cancellation to an email adress. https://gethelp.telkom.co.za/?=10#/chat/a989a. You cant cancel a business account over the phone.
