Telkom cancelation

Hi Guys,

i called Helkom at the beging of the month to cancell my uncapped account with them because i wasnt certisfied with it. Up to this day, they havent cancelled it. they just sent me the bill, i will have to pay for April and may at eh end of the month. Whats the law with regards to this, should i get my lawyer involved or is this normal ??

I cancelled my residential line and ADSL at the beginning of January effective 1st Feb. I called again on the 28th January just to make sure and was told everything was scheduled as planned. Of course at the end Feb I get an invoice and call to find out what the hell was going on. They tell me I called on 28th January so line will only be cancelled end Feb. I log a dispute to the effect that their records are wrong and for someone to call me who can actually assist. Stil haven't received that call and still being invoiced for the service which wasn't even stopped end of Feb....

Just ignore the bills now. Don't live there anyways and don't have or need telkom anymore. They have no leverage over me now.

The incompetence is amazing yet not totally unexpected.

Sadly, they are likely to list you for non-payment....
 
Good luck. They are still trying to bill me for April and i don't even live in SA anymore! :eek:

Been mailing back and forth but its like getting blood out of a stone!
