Did anyone else suddenly see they are being billed for post-paid usage when they "should" be capped?

Funny, I have been on the same contract for almost 4 years, where normally, when capped, my data speed gets reduced. Now suddenly, I am billed for "post-paid" usage and there seems to be no way of getting out of it other than stop using adsl until next month!

Calling telkom 10210/10213 is a waste of time as no one seems to know what I am talking about. VERY frustrating!!!

Any advice of what do do here???

Hi, thank you for the reply. Where exactly did you see the button (the new" "Customer Portal" or the older "Track Your Monthly Usage" page?) as I don't see anything if I log in!

edit:
I see now, after logging in to the new (beta) site, it says "You are browsing at a reduced speed" - which I hope means that "Post Usage Billing" is now deactivated on my account?

Also, I see there is now a button under the "Connectivity" tab that says "Enable Out Of Bundle" that I did not see before - Don't think I should click on that though!

I just logged back in to take a screen shot but the button is gone now. I think it is because I just purchased a few gigs of topup data.

But, it was in the "Track Your Monthly Usage" page under the "My Tools" menu.

When I selected it earlier I just had a "Register" button under the menu item. If you are already registered (by whatever nefarious means) I am not sure what you will see there.

Yes, if you are browsing at reduced speed then I expect post paid is not enabled. Unfortunately with Telkom you never know...

After talking to their sales, accounts & tech departments as well as going to the telkom shop nearby (with no answers at the end of the day), I will have to agree there. With telkom, you never know it seems...

From the daily report:

* Post-Paid usage charged at ZAR12/GB for clients who opted for Post-Paid billing.

I read this to mean that the data listed in the Post Paid section will only be charged if you've opted in, the fact that your speed is throttled means you aren't. Usage over your cap will still be detailed in either case.

Well, I hope (believe) this is the case?

Yesterday, though I did not get the "throttled speed" warning. Neither did I get the "Enable Out Of Bundle" button that is now visible.

So I guess somewhere, somehow the "option" was disabled on my account ...

Edit:

Just for in case anybody else experience the same problem. After a week of calling and emailing, my issue has been resolved. No one from telkom contacted me at all but at least the issue now seems to be solved.

No one knows when or why the option was enabled on my account...

It seems you have to call the SALES department to enabled / disabe Post-Paid billing ...

Anyway, thanks for all the replies and ideas of what to try to resolve this!

Tit racker is full of shiit.

Yesterday it gave me the 100% usage thing and asked me to 'acknowledge' that I'm at reduced speed.
Noticed today speed feels quite good. Logged on and I see I have used 36GB of postpaid! I certainly didn't ask for this. When I click on postpaid it still wants me to register as if I haven't before but on the main page it clearly says I'm using post paid.

Wtf is going on?

Same thing happened to me, when I visited Telkom Front Office, the customer before me had the same complaint.

Call Centre/Telkom Support(E-Mail) keep telling us we browse at reduced speed, while we were not. This never happened before, only during June-2017.
