Telkom Closer Plan ADSL

Hello.

I have a question about the closer plans.
I have the closer plan 1 from Telkom. I thought it came with the ADSL line included, which turns out not. They say i now have to order the adsl line.

Does this mean i pay for the closer call plan 1 + adsl rental? and if so, could i not have the adsl as a stand alone, ie, we dont make calls on the Telkom line, it was only to get adsl. Could i cancel the call line and just have the adsl line?

Closer plans 1, 2 & 3 include line rental. Closer plans 4 & 5 include ADSL rental and line rental. The closer plans are only really useful if you use your land line a lot.

You cannot just have ADSL rental. You have to have telephone line rental as well. This should not be the case, but because of Telkom's continued fixed line monopoly they can still get away with it.
