Good morning
I had a PC set up to send/receive emails in Outlook on a Telkom mobile connection.
Subsequently, I have now moved to AirBand for internet access, but the Telkom account is still open since that is the email address still in use (eventually the Telkom mobile access will be stopped, and only the email account will be maintained)
Instead of the PC being connected to the Telkom mobile device, it is now instead plugged directly into the AirBand router.
Internet works 100%, as well as receiving of emails on the PC (no changes made to the incoming server: pop3.telkomsa.net).
However, emails being sent are now bouncing back with an unable to relay error message. So they go to the outbox, then to the sent items, and then an email is received back with the relay error.
I phoned AirBand, and they suggested changing the outgoing server from smtp.saix.net to mail.sonic.net but now it is even worse, in the sense that emails now don't even leave the outbox! Googling the issue, I also tried changing the port from 25 to 587 with no luck.
Has someone dealt with this issue before and could offer suggestions how to get it working please?
Worse case, I will have to phone Telkom, which I want to avoid if I can, I want to try get it fixed myself first.
