I couldn't find another thread with exactly the same issue, here's my problem.

I went for the Telkom fibre offer through Vumatel (many people will say that choosing Telkom as an ISP was my first mistake!).

Fibre all installed successfully, wireless modem up and running at pretty much the speed advertised - the problem is that some websites are inaccessible, says connecting but eventually just times out.

Nedbank internet banking is one, ironically mybroadband.co.za is another, myistore.co.za and others. It's across all computers on my wireless network.

I thought is could be an HTTPS issue, but then I can access Standard Bank internet banking from my iMac, although not from a PC laptop.

Telkom supplied me with a Huawei B315s router - I've tried adjusting settings, MTU, DNS to Google (8.8.8.8), turning off the firewall (rebooting the router after every change), but nothing has worked so far.

Anyone had similar problems that they've managed to resolve?

Resolve by switching to cool ideas or crystal web.

That's one solution I guess. It's frustrating to be so close to having everything working correctly though - I'm sure the fix can't be too complex.

Have you checked that the sites are actually resolving first? If you ping the site from a command prompt does it give you the correct IP?

Tried pinging mybroadband.co.za (104.20.71.110), request timeout and 100% packet loss on a 10 ping test.

Just received this message from Vumatel Support. So now we wait for Telkom to fix it I guess.

Good day Mike,

Attached is correspondence received regarding Telkom clients with issues you are experiencing:

Please note that Telkom are experiencing a technical difficulty where they are having an issue with the way IS re-routes their traffic via international links and some users are struggling with speeds and loading of certain websites.
