Telkom hit by DDoS attack

Wonder if this is the reason why I haven't been able to access certain sites on my mobile phone data and my uncapped LTE. Still have a ticket open and haven't been able to get onto those sites.

No, thats a different issue...

It relates potentially to a DNS and routing issue but it is being investigated at the moment. It also seems to be isolated to Durban/KZN.

Thanks ToxicBunny. I suspected as much and it has to be a routing issue. I can still ping and traceroute the sites fine, just not getting any data coming back from them. Telkom has opened and closed the call so many times so i don't know why they giving me hassles when there is clearly an issue.

Telkom help desk can't necessarily see or find an issue, but the techies on the backend in the correct department are aware of it.

Well as long as they are aware of it, then it is A-okay. I was worried my calls were being shot down before even reaching the techies at the back.
