Hey all,
Host4Africa happens to have their servers based in the US. And at those prices they're probably overloaded as well.
Telkom can include all the e-commerce infrastructure it wants, but nobody's going to have many sales before they're out of their 150 megs for the month. You'd do better to host an e-commerce site on your home PC over ADSL.
And... if Telkom had more than 2 brain cells in total, they'd realise no e-commerce entrepreneur with enough intelligence to breathe would settle with those prices for that service.
But at the other end of the scale, 'unmetered' traffic is not a good thing. Either you simply won't be able to use more than a certain amount due to your link speed, or you're likely to have your site taken down because of 'excessive use' or something.
My fav is http://netfirms.com. Recently became 1 GB space and 50 GB transfer for +/- R 70 / month, and with excellent quality of service.
Because after all, if your site's not up, you're not going to need your 1 TB of bandwidth.
