Hi,

Have seen some posts on this topic but no real solutions other than DIY options.

In my complex we have the Telkom infrastructure in the units, ie the white PVC piping, but for some reason no cable was ever brought through to my unit and 1 other. I have had telkom tech out there and the tech said they cant run a cable and the developer must get involved. I somehow don't think this true as the cable just needs to be pulled through.

Anyone know of an external company that could do this as it is about 80m from my house to the box and underground.

Thanks in advance

I somehow don't think this true as the cable just needs to be pulled through.

It's true. It's the responsibility of the developer or body corporate.

Any electrician should be able to do the job, you just need the correct cable.

Are there any draw wires?

We had issues with the conduit in our complex - got the complex maintenance dude to sort that out and install draw wires.

Then when the Telkom techy came around to do the install I helped him pull the cable through from the main manhole into our unit.

Just get the correct gauge of wire put in by an electrician or handyman and then call Telkom to hook the wire up to the distribution cabinet.

Great Thanks for the replies.

Will call around a couple electricians and see if they can sort it out.
